As per reports, adman Vinil Mathew is shifting gears and is all set to direct a film, and it’s learnt that his first assignment will be a joint venture between Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar. For his first film, Vinil is keen on casting Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra as the lead pair.
The movie is going to be a love story, developed by Vinil himself. As a source is quoted as saying by a tabloid, “Karan had several meetings with the team of Phantom Productions comprising Anurag, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl and both parties shook hands over the script.”
It’s even said that if Vinil wants Siddharth for his film, Karan Johar will ensure he gets his perfect casting. Since Karan has launched Siddharth in the film industry, it won’t be tough for the director-producer to get the actor on board.
The movie is likely to go on floors this year, and if all goes well, Siddharth and Parineeti will romance each other in this romantic film.
